“I used to write down every episode in the notes on my phone and set alarms for the doses. That's why I made Pupa.”

Mum and creator of Pupa

Before

A note with crossed-out times, an alarm that goes off without saying what for, and the report lost in your camera roll.

With Pupa

The dose is logged with its time and the reminder tells you what's due. You tick it off from the notification.

A night with a fever, all logged.

In the small hours, nobody remembers what time the last dose was. This is how Pupa keeps track.

  1. You open an episode and log the temperature

Two taps: the reading and where you took it. Each reading is added to the curve.

  2. You give the medicine the paediatrician recommended

You enter the name, the dose and how many hours apart the doses are. Pupa schedules a reminder for the next one.

  3. It goes up again

On “Home” you see the last dose and how long until the next one. No sums at that hour of the night.

  4. The reminder goes off

You give the dose and tap “I've given it”. The lock screen shows no health data.

  5. In the morning, off to the paediatrician with everything logged

You show them the curve or send them the episode as a PDF: temperatures, doses, meals, nappies and symptoms.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Pupa is free and has no ads.

Who can see my children’s data?

Only you. Everything is stored on your phone: there are no accounts and no servers, so we can’t see it either.

What if I change or lose my phone?

With a backup you can move everything to your new phone. As there is no cloud, if you lose your phone without a backup, the data is lost, so make a backup from time to time.

Can both parents use it?

Each phone has its own record and, for now, they don’t sync. You can move a backup to the other phone.

Is there an Android version?

Yes. The Android version is already in review on Google Play and will be available very soon.

Which languages is the app in?

Spanish, English, French, Romanian, Ukrainian and Russian. It uses your phone’s language automatically.

Will it tell me what dose to give or whether it’s serious?

No. Pupa is a diary: it helps you log and remember, but it doesn’t diagnose or calculate doses. Ask your paediatrician or pharmacist and, in an emergency, call 112.

Got another question? Write to us at pupa.saludinfantil@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.

Pupa is a diary, not a doctor. It does not diagnose, does not calculate doses and does not replace your paediatrician's advice. In an emergency, call 112.
